
Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Gründer
Gerhard Gründer is Professor at the Medical Faculty Mannheim of the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He directs the new Department of Molecular Neuroimaging at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim. Dr. Gründer completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Mainz, before conducting a fellowship in the Department of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Baltimore, USA. After his return to Germany, he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Mainz. Between 2004 and 2017 he was Professor of Psychiatry and the Vice Chair in the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics of RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He is also currently the Principal Investigator for the Psilocybin-Depression study EPIsoDE.
