Abstract

We present Psyrreal, an immersive virtual reality experience that mimics the phenomenological components of psychedelic experiences. Psyrreal has been created to discover novel approaches for treating psychological disorders and explore the therapeutic mechanisms of psychedelic experiences, disentangling the subjective effects from the direct neurochemical effects of psychedelics.

Based on our recent preliminary study (https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyt.2023.1088896), we have observed encouraging outcomes when utilizing these techniques within therapeutic settings. Here we offer the opportunity for interested participants to experience the latest release of Psyrreal in virtual reality.
