Urszula Kozlowska, Ph.D.

Urszula Joanna Kozlowska has a Ph.D. in biology, spec. immunology at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences, Department of Molecular Neuroscience, where she investigates novel oligonucleotide-based therapeutics for a treatment of polyQ diseases. Her main area of interest relates to immunology of microglia and stem cells biology in context of neural tissue regeneration. In 2015 – 2018 she worked in a collaboration with John Hopkins School of Medicine in preclinical research on application of stem cell transplants into Central Nervous System for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis treatment. She investigates the psychedelic tryptamines as therapeutic candidates to attenuate inflammation and boost regeneration of damaged brain tissue.
