Ronja Opladen is currently studying fine arts at the HBKsaar in Saarbrücken. Her work mainly focuses on depicting humans and their thoughts and feelings, usually through dark pencil and ink portraits, videos, short stories, watercolour paintings or a combination of writing and drawing. Poetry, philosophy and literature are very dear to her and inspire almost every single one of her artworks, which tend to focus on the fleeting nature of reality and the loneliness of being trapped in ones own mind.
In the dream, I was standing in front of a tall tower, unable to do anything, with hundreds of pigs looking to one side, screaming into the night and aching to get out of their own personal hell. My works are excerpts from my dream diary as well as other depictions of dreamy/unreal states of mind I wanted to bring to life.
