Matthew W. Johnson, Ph.D., is the Susan Hill Ward Endowed Professor of Psychedelics at Johns Hopkins. Working with psychedelics for 17 years, he is one of the most world’s most published psychedelic experts. He published psychedelic safety guidelines in 2008, helping to resurrect psychedelic research. He developed the first psychedelic treatment of tobacco addiction. He has published on psychedelics and safety factors, mystical experience, personality change, cancer-related distress treatment, and MDD treatment. His 2018 psilocybin review recommended Schedule IV upon medical approval. Interviewed by: Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, BBC, Michael Pollan.
