Maria Grzywacz, B.A.

Neurobiology Research Unit, Copenhagen, Denmark

Since 2020 Maria has been affiliated with the Neurobiology Research Unit (NRU) at the University Hospital in Copenhagen where she assists in psychedelic research and sessions; involving both data collection and analysis as well as acute psychological support during psychedelic sessions. Maria gained experience working with healthy volunteers as well as patients suffering from chronic cluster headaches.

Additionally, Maria is involved in harm-reduction initiatives with KUNE – a Copenhagen-based music and arts festival. She was involved as “Head of Safer Space” responsible for recruiting volunteers and educating them about the support of people in altered states of consciousness, as well as educating the public about safer/responsible drug use. “Safer Space” is also responsible for making KUNE welcoming and approachable for sexual and racial minorities, as well as people of various body shapes, -sizes and -abilities.
