Based in Leipzig, Germany, Krell is a filmmaker and author who studied audiovisual media and cinematography in Berlin before completing his postgraduate studies ‘Media Arts’ at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. He participated in the Professional Media Masterclass as part of Werkleitz – Center for Media Arts and has produced various experimental, music, and short films, with notable achievements such as the German Short Film Award for ‘Kaltes Tal’ and the Golden Bear at Berlinale Shorts for his graduation film ‘Umbra’. His audiovisual works explore the interfaces between subjective perception and the possibilities of representation of audiovisual Media.
