George studied Bioscience (B.Sc.) at the University of Heidelberg and Cognitive Neuropsychology  (M.Sc) at the Vrije University in Amsterdam. His thesis project investigated the subperceptual effects of microdosing psilocybin on temporal integration processes during the perception of audiovisual asynchrony. In collaboration with members of the Amsterdam Psychedelic Research Association, they investigated the effects of psilocybin microdosing in a series of preregistered studies on its effects on the sense of awe, emotion regulation and creativity. He is currently working as a freelance editor for BlossomAnalysis and as a team coordinator of the ALIUS research network. His ongoing research focusses on the subjective effects of serotonergic psychedelics with anticholinergic hallucinogens using mixed quantitative and qualitative analyses to compare their phenomenology.
