Gabriela Sawicka is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Psychedelic Research (Imperial College London), where she coordinates a clinical trial exploring the effects of ketamine on synaptic density using the radioligand [11C] UCB-J in a combined PET-fMRI paradigm. Her interest in studying psychedelic drugs stems from aspiration to investigate and formulate new methods for addressing mental health conditions. Through her research, she aims to uncover the neurobiological mechanisms behind long-term functional, behavioural, and cognitive effects of psychedelics. Gabriela has background in Neuroscience (BSc at University of Nottingham) and Pharmacology (MSc at University College London). |
