PhD student

Aurora Savino, M.Phil.

Università di Torino

Aurora Savino received her Master in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, and then moved to the University of Cambridge for a research MPhil in epigenetics in the laboratory of Prof. Wolf Reik. She is currently finishing her PhD in Molecular Medicine at the University of Turin, in the laboratory of Prof. Valeria Poli. Across her studies, she worked on different biological questions, from the role of microRNA in neurogenesis decline with aging to breast cancer co-expression networks. The common theme, nevertheless, has been the bioinformatic analysis of high-throughput data, in particular RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq.
