Arghavan Nepton, MA, PhD (cand.), is currently a doctoral student in Neuroscience, in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa. For her thesis project, Arghavan is studying Ketamine therapy and epigenetics in patients with MDD under the supervision of Dr. Monnica T Williams. In addition to her work on ketamine therapy, she has conducted extensive research on cognitive functioning among adolescents, gaining a deep understanding of the complex interplay between our brains and our emotions. All of these has equipped her with the knowledge and skills she needs to tackle some of the most pressing issues in the field of neuroscience. She has interests in conducting research on mental health disorders. Arghavan is committed to improving social opportunity, psychological wellness, and mental health for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of color) and other historically racialized groups who suffer from racism and other artificial lines which separate people.
