Experience as Medicine: Psychedelic Therapy and the Significance of Music
Psychedelic therapy research is increasing momentum, and alongside a growing acknowledgment of its experiential orientation and the profound significance of music during the therapy sessions. This talk will review the empirical evidence for the “Experience as Medicine” hypothesis, followed by a discussion of the latest research and understanding on the function of person-centered music in supporting positive therapy outcomes.
