The Exploratorium invites visitors to embark on a multisensory journey through the realm of psychedelic science and the culture that surrounds it. Spanning four floors of interactive installations, performances, films, and more, the Exploratorium offers a diverse range of more than 20 artworks and experiences that aim to question consciousness, promote self-discovery, and investigate the transformative nature of psychedelic research and therapy.

The artistic contributions to INSIGHT 2023 were curated by members of the MIND/EDGE Arts Section. The Arts Section is a collaboration between the MIND Foundation Members and EDGE Neuroscience & Art e.V. It is open to any MIND member who is interested in the intersection of Art, Psychedelic Culture, and Science.

Performance Program

In the Auditorium, two vastly different yet interconnected art forms merge to create an unforgettable experience. The stage is set for a journey that delves into the realms of music, neuroscience, and deeply human narratives. Both acts explore the human mind, albeit through vastly different lenses:

Pianocortex: Live EEG Biofeedback Performance for Piano & Electronics:
Critically acclaimed Australian concert pianist Chris Lloyd joins Berlin-based artist & inventor Adam John Williams for the performance of live & as-of-yet-unheard new sounds, from a musical score generated with EEG biofeedback. In this unfolding musical journey, witness the dynamic interaction between brainwaves and creativity, as well as the interpersonal feedback loop of performers reacting to each other, breathing life into music that transcends the conventional boundaries of composition.

Performance installation: Die Betroffenen (The Affected):
Awarded INSIGHT Art Award 2021 for the duet VEDO (w. Cecilia Bartolino), Swedish-Brazilian dance-theatre maker and performing artist Patric Neves Lindström forms a performative series of embodied short stories, where real-life situated psychedelic-assisted therapy has been used to heal patients with traumas in human relation, consequences of war, migration, and eco-anxiety.

In the Reflection Room, TRILOKA generates an augmented sonic experience through the interaction of live acoustic and electronic instruments for meditative explorations, silent contemplation and the unfolding of the body-mind in the form of extended sound healing journeys.

Since 2020 the intercultural trio guides an immersive and introspective sound journey by combining the soothing melodies of the acoustic cello, the contemporary and psychedelic sonic sculptures of the affected and processed electric guitar, and the grounding frequencies of the gong and singing bowls.

All of that while you comfortably sit or lay down, close your eyes, meditate, dream along, or float away in a cozy and safe space.
