Abstract

Unexpected situations can emerge when using pharmacological substances of any kind. Current legal regulation and uninformed or irresponsible use of psychoactive substances, among others, lead to a growing number of preventable emergencies every year.

Join Sergio Pérez Rosal, M.D., Benjamin Spahr, M.D., and Felix Blei, Ph.D. in this workshop to acquire highly professional medical-level management skills of the most common emergencies related to substance use in both recreational and therapeutic settings. You’ll learn about substance checking and the current state-of-the-art tests in the market to prevent drug-related emergencies. You will also be trained in the most important critical care algorithms used by first responders like paramedics and emergency doctors, providing a glimpse into MIND’s innovative and brand new certificate program, Molecules, launching September 2021.

Highlights:

CPR-Training by two experienced emergency Doctors
Hands-on practical training on the most common scenarios
Basic life support and other first aid techniques
Substance checking
