Ioana Ivan is a clinical psychologist and a psychotherapy M.Sc. student at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Her major focus of research is extending the applicability of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy from treating mental health disorders to optimizing the training programs for mental health professionals. Her specific interest is to understand under which conditions an assisted psychedelic experience can improve basic competencies, such as empathy and collaboration, extend the repertoire of self-care behaviors and foster self-compassion. Ioana Ivan is also a Beyond Experience Facilitator and co-coordinator of the Cluj-Napoca uniMIND Journal Club.
